Petra Toneva, Founder and Lead Coordinator
Petra is an interdisciplinary researcher holding a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from RWTH Aachen and a Master’s degree in Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Iceland. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Iceland, specializing in ecosystem modeling with a focus on carbon balance. Petra is a recipient of the European Leadership Academy’s Visionary Award for the concept behind “Cinema in the Village” and has been selected to join the ARCADE Arctic training program in 2026.
Why is “Cinema in the Village” important to you?
